Invest in Youth enhances the academic abilities, self-confidence and life prospects of struggling learners in the Seattle Public Schools and provides volunteer tutors the opportunity to experience the rewards of enriching young lives.

Here's your opportunity to give back. For one hour, just once a week on the way home from work, you can go into nearby Seattle grade schools and tutor kids who need a little extra help with their studies.

Make a Tax-Deductible Donation

Invest in Youth is solely supported by private donors, firms and grants.  We always welcome your monetary contributions.  All donations can be made to Invest in Youth but sent directly to the Alliance.  The Alliance For Education is a citywide organization that coordinates local businesses with Seattle Public Schools.  If you would like to make a donation, please be sure to indicate that the funds provided are for Invest in Youth.  Thank you for your generosity.

It is entirely possible to designate your donations to certain aspects of our program.  You may choose to provide a campership for our students to go to camp during the summer.  The money allocated for a camper scholarship would guarantee a camp experience for a student in Invest in Youth.  In recent years, the students have had the opportunity to attend multiple summer camps for a week- long adventure.  This is an extremely beneficial and wonderful way to extend the learning beyond the school year for our students.  The students who have had this chance will cherish the experience for a lifetime!

Alternatively, you may choose to help fund our annual year-end event at the end of each tutoring year.  Every year we put together a final event to celebrate our year together at Invest in Youth.  Recently, students were able to attend a children’s theatre performance in Seattle. This is a very rewarding experience for the students and they look forward to the end of the year activity.  Each year we aim to do something different and even more exciting than the year before.  Your donation would help to create more choices for our next adventure!

Finally, we accept general donations that help us to sustain our program.  Although Invest in Youth is a small organization, there are still business costs and expenses.  Funding is critical to our existence!  Your gift is tax-deductable and greatly appreciated!
